How to Change Lifestyle and be feel happier and healthier in 2025

How to change lifestyle?

If you clicked on this blog, I’m guessing you’re ready to make some lifestyle changes to feel happier, healthier, and just overall better about yourself. But honestly, figuring out where to start can feel like a nightmare.
Everywhere you look, there’s conflicting advice: Go vegan. Avoid carbs. Fats are the enemy. Eat more fruit—wait, no, don’t eat too much fruit.

Some say hit workouts are great, others warn they’ll raise your cortisol levels. You’re told to aim for 10,000 steps, but then you hear that’s not enough for your heart. Running sounds good until someone mentions it’ll wreck your knees. No wonder people making changes—they don’t know what to believe! But don’t worry, I’ve got your back. I’m going to share 5 simple, no-nonsense rules that I follow to stay healthy while juggling life as a healthiest person.

Happier & Healthiest Life Updates

I used to get stuck in this endless loop of being super strict—like, no packaged food at all—and then completely rebelling when I couldn’t keep up with my own impossible rules.
The truth is, not every day will be perfect, and that’s okay. If I have a nutritious home-cooked lunch but grab fast food for dinner because I’m exhausted, that’s still a win. If I’m too tired for a gym session but manage a quick walk, that’s not a failure. The key is finding balance and making changes that you can actually stick to without feeling miserable.

Processed foods are everywhere, and they’re designed to be addictive—they’re full of salt, sugar, and other stuff that keeps us coming back for more. That doesn’t mean you should never eat them, though. I love my treats as much as anyone else. The key is to prioritize unprocessed foods most of the time because they’re more nutrient-dense and less calorie-packed. Think of it as getting more bang for your buck.
Over time, eating less processed food has even changed how I taste things. Foods I used to love now sometimes feel overly salty or sweet, which I never thought would happen. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about being mindful.

The best kind of exercise? The one you’ll actually stick to. Don’t let trends dictate what you should be doing. One year, it’s all about weight training, then it’s Pilates, and now everyone’s training for marathons. Forget all that and figure out what works for you.
When I started working as a doctor, I cycled to work every day. It wasn’t glamorous, but it fit into my schedule, and I got my daily movement without having to carve out extra time. When my bike got stolen (rude, I know), I tried new things until I found what I liked. If you’re not sure what you enjoy, try different classes or team sports—it’s a great way to move your body without it even feeling like exercise.

Let me tell you a quick story. In university, I had two gym options: one was cheaper but a 15-minute walk away, and the other was pricier but right below my flat. I chose the cheaper one, thinking, “15 minutes? That’s nothing.” Guess how many times I went in two months? Once. Yep, one gym session cost me Rs 2000.
Eventually, I switched to the pricier gym, and because it was so convenient, I went consistently. Convenience really is king. The same goes for food. When life gets busy, processed food is often the easiest option. But healthy convenience foods exist too—think microwaveable whole-grain rice, frozen veggies, or prepped meals you’ve made ahead of time. By planning ahead, you make it so much easier to grab the healthier option when you’re short on time or energy.

Don’t overcomplicate things. Drink water. Eat your fruits and veggies. Move your body. If something feels off, see a doctor. And if you live somewhere like the UK, where sunlight is a rare luxury, take a vitamin D supplement in the winter.
Ignore all those dramatic headlines that try to convince you everything you thought you knew about health is wrong. A lot of those studies are based on tiny groups of people, and the conclusions aren’t as groundbreaking as the headlines make them seem. Confusion sells, but you don’t need fancy gadgets or supplements to live a healthier life.

That’s it—5 simple rules to make healthy living easier and more sustainable. If you found that blog is helpful, don’t forget to share it with your favourite person.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you have an amazing week!
